Went down to Seattle yesterday and friends wanted to get some stuff at HH (Helly Hansen) and I ended up getting some stuff too. New outdoor bad weather jacket and a sports jacket and they looked so good on me I got them.
As we were walking out some person was filming a dad and his kid walking and I thought I messed up the shot but they said they were some news station doing a piece on winter shopping. Then the person wanted to get a clip of my bag walking down the sidewalk lol...
Went down to Seattle met up with some more people and got something to eat. Drove back, ate some pie, put a movie on and fell asleep watching it around 11ish. Probably the earliest I have been to bed for a long time.
Met with my adviser today since I was not really sure what classes I should be taking for CS but I got a list and I am ahead of schedule (bc of the extra 35-40ish credits from HS). This ultimately means I can declare my major early and finish early :D
Had to make this post short since I need to study for a test tomorrow.

New Job
Yeah it was the battery and everything is up and running again :D
Got a new job at Macy's. Basically I go around and refold stuff/keep the store in an orderly fashion. The job suits me because being a college student atm I realized I wanted a job where I could clock in and clock out. With the penguin windows I had to address a lot of other issues/invest a lot of time inside and outside of the job. At this moment in my life a simple job where the job ends when I leave is what I really want. Plus the little extra cash helps me not have to run to my dad for every expense. I think next year I'll move out and get a room with someone/multiple people.
Overall doing well. Getting together next week with my sisters/most of my friends that either live in Seattle/Eastern washington. Should be fun. Dunno what my sisters are planning but I think my friends want to do a Korean barbecue. Basically we split the cost of the meal (200-300 dollars?) and they bring us a huge box that contains strips of meat. From there we cook it ourselves over some kind of pit or something. Either way it sounds fun.

Car Issues
So i met some friends at Applebees last night. After about an hour and a half of hanging out I go back and I find that my car does not start :/ No noise, no nothing. So I assume the battery is dead and call my friend to give me a ride home (he was leaving the lot). It's past midnight so I decide not to wake my dad and fix it tomorrow bc waking people up = they get pissed. My dad wakes up anyways and bitches at me for being up so late *sigh* Apparently when my dad sleeps the world is supposed to go sleep.
Fast forward to today my dad wakes me up by calling me to tell me he's off to Seattle for something and inquires about the car. Soo I tell him the battery is dead and it's in the ABs parking lot. He flips a bitch calls me again later to tell me to call the ABs and ask them not to tow my car.... I tell him it's not a problem bc
1. They would not tow a car for being there less than 24 hours...
2. Nobody working there is paid enough to care
3. Nobody working there would notice a car being there for less than 24 hours. Prob take close to a week before a car got towed...
When he gets home about 7:30ish bitches at me about being irresponsible, the car breaking (my fault) or I "should have known cars break down"... Something about playing videogames all day (wtf)... College (I have all As)... Apparently he thought I was not taking a full class load... Uhh other irrelevant stuff.
We get there tries to explain to me how to jump a car (Okay I am not a moron red is + black is ground) blah blah blah... Car starts I drive it home and planning on taking it in to be checked tomorrow.
We get home and suddenly everything is okay for my dad... This is why I do not talk to my dad... Thinks the world revolves around him and that he is all knowing bc he is successful in terms of monetary value.. Lives a small world..
Annoying bc when I talk to him (rarely) he does not think of things from a logical standpoint...

I'm not dead
Sorry for not posting in almost a month lol... Everything's generally fine. College is going good. I think I have a 98-100 in all my classes. Like I said before, my classes are redunculously easy.. Atm I'm writing a 5 page essay about two of the avatars I use in the video games I play... This is all the professor told us to write for it...
-What you really like (or dislike) about the avatars you created.
-What were your design considerations when you created your avatars (e.g., looks, race, name, class,
etc.)
-What it's like to be each avatar.
-You can also add addition observations you might have regarding your avatars or the process you
went through to create.
Honestly I think 95% of my classes essays are going end up reading like this... "I like my character. My character
is cool. I looked at each different avatar and liked this one best, etc." Lol w/e my essay is good so far :D I use
a consistent theme of word-choice regarding common gathering professions in several games. Well more
specifically, MMORPGS.. I also break up my main points into several different common aspects of a house
to describe the structure and give the reader something real to relate the structure of my essay. I find it works quite
well since I got a 4.0 (100%) in my UW English class last year. We were required to make a hypothesis regarding
several different readings. Furthermore I like to mix it up a bit and write about something different than everyone else.
Sooooo, I'm writing a bit about the stereotypes that exist in games, among other things.
Haha random interruption but I'm watching the Phantom of the Opera (my fav movie) and one of my fav lines came up.
I have to say if you do not like this movie/play then you probably do not recognize all the elements that are woven throughout
the piece. Must notable, the characterization and perversion of the phantom of the opera. Omg my mom and sisters
recently went to go see the phantom of the opera play and did not buy me a ticket. They said, "Haha you knew you
prob would not like it so we did not buy you a ticket." I was just like haha... Yeah... *sad face on the inside*
I like to multi-task in case you're wondering... Annoys my friends to no end. They do not understand how i can watch TV,
work on HW, play a video game, and listen to music at the same time.
I've mainly been busy with warcraft/friends.. Every week they want to meet in china town. Well I'm not complaining lol..
I like the asian culture. They're gonna buy me some durian + some durian ice cream. Apparently it's an asian fruit
that smells repugnant but tastes delicious lol.. And we're prob gonna get together on halloween (some of us) and the rest
during Thanksgiving week and do something asian-related lol.. It's quite fun though, I can swear in several asian languages,
lots of asian jokes, I know a lot of different anime and we're gonna go to Sakura-con this year lol.
Anyhoo, got a page on my essay regarding avatars lol... So easy. My other class is psych. It's basically a group-driven
class. My group happens to be proactive so we taught our chapter first over two 1.5 hour class periods. Wasn't
bad and we got 98% sooo all good. I missed the chapter test... on our chapter... last week because I had a doctor
appointment.
I've stopped taking the anti-depressant medication bc the side effects aren't very great IMO. Like no sexual drive lol..
Also it felt like it was metastasizing through me and attacking my liver or kidney or something. Also makes me
hungry 24/7 :( even when I'm not hungry. Basically it makes my stomach hurt unless I eat. Sooo I stopped and the side
effects of stopping also kinda suck... past few weeks my I've gotten headaches and my circadian rhythm has been
fucked up.... Going to bed at 6-9am and waking up anytime from 3-6pm.... Although it's getting better now so no
worries. I was expecting something like this anyways.
Watched Paranormal activity last night at around 1am with the lights out and I will admit it was scary lol... For 10min
afterwards I was huddled in my bed with no one to hold me :( Haha jk but it would've been a good movie to cuddle with someone.
Also saw where the wild things are with my little sis (not that little) she got some discounted tickets from work.
Ummm one the darkest kids movies I have ever seen... Omg I was like wtf... Totally not a kid movie... Some of
the motifs are pretty intense lol... and the symbols are even more wtf lol... I doubt they understood them but wtf lol...
Haha a chicken character (sky is falling?) gets his arm ripped off by the furry with anger management problems o.O
No joke and they replace it with a stick haha... laughing so hard (by myself) and then some people looked at my sister
and I funny afterward. Other than that it's actually a pretty good movie if you understand the elements but if you don't then it's
just furry shit lol...
Also trying to get a job at this videogame store. Zomg I know too much about video games, especially with the class
I'm taking! So if they give me an interview I'll get the job but if not then I'll just get a job at the mall or Ivar's or something lol..
At least to tide me over until I get a job somewhere else.
Gonna drop in on my old english teacher's class while my sister is in the class lol... Bring her some cookies? idk
Random post after not posting anything in awhile... If you've made it this far then you deserve a prize! Web-five!
Haha lame. Idk why but a lot of math-oriented people are terrible at video games that are 90% math in essence...
My friend and I have come to this conclusion bc this one friend of mine who <3s math sucks at most fps games lol..
Don't get me wrong I <3 math but he def retains more than I do.. Another phsyics-guru of mine sucks at RTS games o.O
I mean all games are all about mastering the heuristics (easy part-ish) and then psyching out/reading other players.
IMO two equally skilled players (mechanic-wise) will be decided by who can readi common human playstyles/moves...
For example, in TF2 most pyros "pretend" to back up behind a wall and wait for you to run after them but I usually
just around back of them lol... always gets them. Doing something unexpected works best against almost all players lol...
Most go into some kind of shock and can't react lol... Well once you've mastered the heuristics... Otherwise you'll just die :p
Omg need to stop rambling now!

College in 2 days
Sorry for not posting much I've been super busy -_- I also have been super bored because I quit my job at the windows place. Basically, my boss kept signing me up for shifts I didn't sign up for, losing my stuff, and then said I never told him I would be out of town visiting my grandparents.. Sooo I just quit and told him it wasn't working. Now to look again.. Yah! Not.. Atleast with school starting more jobs should open up. I only have school on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I have a decently open schedule. The only downside is a lot of class on those 2 days lol.. The good news is the classes will be a cakewalk.
I'm taking an introduction to psychology course and a digital play class. The first is self-explanatory but for the latter one basically just plays around on the computer. I read the class description and it involves playing video games. How hard can it be? Of course there the required analysis of the games and case studies but this class should be fun and easy. O and lol the book we're using is the same one they use for AP Psychology apparently (in HS). Lol my sister is taking AP Psych so she wants to be study buddies now. Of course it will probably be more of me helping her but I don't mind. I enjoy hanging out with my sisters.
Been hanging out in my friends dorms down at the UW campus. The rooms aren't that small but my room alone here is bigger lol... Carpet is stained and one side of the room likes like someone bashed their head through the wall and then tried to patch it up but overall it's decent. Also I brought my laptop and only two of the six Ethernet ports work so I tried to get into wireless and it's laggy as fuck. Although I was tapping into the wireless at the UW campus which is pretty far away sooooo no surprise there. Apparently, you need to bring a router so my friend's dad is bringing one down. As far as the Ethernet goes it's fast. And the ping for the WoW server we play on is 5ms lol..
Went to a movie thing a few days ago and then a late-night shopping spree at Fred Meyers (a grocery chain in the US, or at least the western US). I didn't need anything there but they were giving pretty big discounts on everything. I did end up buying a videogame lol... Devil May Cry 4 for $15? I couldn't pass that up. It was sitting in the clearance section and I got a 20% off the posted price + another 10% off that price. My friend told me I have to lend it to him when I'm done since that was the only copy! I guess there was a premiere showing of Zombieland this night but I didn't want to drive down again. I mean the movie isn't even out in theaters yet and I really want to see it buuttt I've been driving down there too much as it is.
PS. I haven't forgotten about uploading the zoo pics or the laptop pics lol... I promise an expose tomorrow! I need to recharge the battery and get a pic from my sis.

Comon Microsoft... Comon!
Wtf is Microsoft thinking? They need to fire whoever keeps making these retarded promos and hire someone who can put an ad together.. Everything they keep putting up just helps Apple..
Welcome to Window's 7 hosting your own launch party video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cX4t5-YpHQ&feature=player_embedded#t=230. I would have to say watching this video was comparable to shooting myself in the foot.

Artificial Intelligence
I <3 Artificial Intelligence! Well it's more like I'm heavily interested in artificial intelligence, which is why I'm planning on taking psychology courses in conjunction with programming courses at the UW.
One of the main reasons I became so interested in video games was mainly because of the artificial intelligence that they gradually began to introduce. The first console I got was the Nintendo 64. After playing with my friend on his Super Nintendo I naturally wanted something similar. Of course the first games didn't have much of an AI. I had Diddy Kong Racing and some Basketball game but it was easy to see they pretty much followed a predetermined path or course of actions. Thus, it was easy to out maneuver the computer controlled players.
Then when I got into computer games I noticed a more dynamic AI introduced into the games. For example, the computer controlled players in Warcraft 3 would develop different units to counter units that you created, as well as employing different strategies each game.
This all factors into the reason why I am so interested in artificial intelligence. The idea creating some form of intelligence through the use of computer code intrigues me to no end. It's probably a smart idea too because of the increasing integration of technology into our society. Just yesterday I went with Deadwing to go look at new cars because his s5 got rear-ended. The s4 we drove with some new chip in it made the transition between gears almost flawless. I was thoroughly impressed. We didn't have time to test drive any other cars but I'm thinking I'd like me an Audi someday. I also picked up a brochure at the porsche dealership to give to my dad in memory of the boxster he wanted lol.
Anyways, before I get off track again, I've read several articles of people trying to "unlock" the key to creating a true artificial intelligence. The main goal is to create an artificial intelligence that can learn and adapt. As of now, it reacts to several different situations and formulates the best plan of action. In my opinion it does a fantastic job of simulating intelligence but it still remains bound by the parameters and limits of the code.
I'd like to try and work on this problem in the future. Although I've read who it drove two main researchers to suicide... I don't think I'll get that wrapped in it but you can't let your failures keep you down. If anything I'd like to work on the problem first hand and atleast develop something that helps to move the field forward. From what I can see, the applications are endless.
Even know I just read this article about an AI-based program that would help prevent crimes before they began. The journalist who wrote up this article also made a clever connection with the movie Minority Report. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/6222938/Artificially-Intelligent-CCTV-could-prevent-crimes-before-they-happen.html
PS. Pics of my new laptop soon!
